Dept. CDR's Update (June 21st)

This week's shoutout goes to everyone in the Legion Family who intend on attending the upcoming Department Convention. Say it with me, "I intend on attending," now that you've said it, it's a non-binding contract, unenforceable anywhere, but I do hope to see everyone.

In our department's history, we've had only 1 female veteran serve as department commander and after Sunday the 28th, that will change. Folks, get to know Tonya Launsby our current Department Senior Vice Commander and next Department Commander pronounced "LAWNS-BEE."

Membership

I wish I could report that we're remotely close to 100%, but we're just shy of 95%, but I want to thank everyone who made their goal and I want to thank our Department Membership Chairman and NEC Lanny Culver for taking membership seriosuly year after year.
