If I’m fortunate to be elected your Department Commander, here is where you’ll find weekly blog updates as well as special announcements. Effectively communicating as we Veterans understand, can be the difference between success and disaster, even when facing towering odds. By committing to this, my hope is that you’ll receive more timely information directly from me, versus how things can be filtered through other means. Some of what ails any organization is poorly communicating, especially the lack of clear and concise information from its leaders. While my efforts here will not solve all the problems we currently face or will face, I want you to know that you’ll not face your problems alone.
In this blog update, I want to promote something for the "good of the Legion," and that's Tennessee Legion College, which will be held September 13-14 at Post 88 Donelson. The need for more training necessitated the move from Department Headquarter to Post 88.
Please let me know if these (https://www.toddmckinley.com/blog/categories/american-legion) updates are handy, as I plan to leave 3-4 up at any one time. In this blog, I've touched on training, something we're going to do more of, and communication, this medium and others that are forthcoming, will help with that issue as well.
